A computer-vision assignment built in a research environment, where accuracy and careful reasoning mattered more than a flashy interface.

01 · Context

The problem

Reticule crosshairs and telemetry graphics can hide important visual information in video frames. The task was to identify those regions and reconstruct a useful approximation of the pixels beneath them.

02 · Contribution

What I built

I implemented a Python workflow using CSV mask matrices, vectorised NumPy operations, and neighbour-pixel reconstruction with np.roll to process frames efficiently.

03 · Takeaway

What it taught me

Research engineering rewards precision. I learned to break visual problems into measurable operations, validate intermediate output, and explain technical choices clearly.
